The influences of iconic members of the New York Art School movement, includinng Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner, Willem deKooning and Robert Motherwell, are apparent, in her unique compilation of "action painting" techniques and principles, as they are applied in her mixed media compositions, with intense, broad, sweeping gestural strokes, and richly textured impasto surfaces.
Figurative expressionism, which combines influences from the post-war CoBrA art movement,
.form a unique style of whimsical surrealism, overlaid with social commentary, on topical events, as the basis for her stylself-defined style of painting, called"Afro Expressionism". Using classic action painting techniques, focusing on spontanaiety and capturing the zeitgeist, these works provide an insiteful social commentary, reflecting the artist's philosophsphical perspectives, which underly communication and creation as one process.
Abstract expressionism is the reference for the expansion into the figurative expressionist realms of this idiom of abstract painting. Each art art gallery or portfolio, contains a selection of works, according to subject or theme. The abstract expressionist paintings, are shown in three porfoilos, based upon colorfield. Neutral palette, primary color palette and green/blue pallette are grouped in 3 separate expressionist series of abstract paintings.
The Figurative Expressionist painting series, are presented as separate groups, which feature abstract figurative works, in the style often associated with artists who led, the European post-war, CoBrA art movment. This would include iconic figures such as Karel Appel, Cornielle, Lucebert, and Asger Jorn,,, from whom the artist gained much inspiration. Additional art movements, providing techniqcal and stylistic references include German Expressionism and the current "Wilden Grosse" art movement, which includes lumionaries such as Ranier Fetting, George Baselitz and Elvira Bach, who along with co-founding member, Berlin artist, Peter keil, a student of Miro, who mentored the artsit in her development of an idiom, sympathetic to his own.
